Why did you decide to launch women's swimwear?

We launched Apnée 5 years ago with the ambition of modernizing the world of men's swimwear. We didn't plan to launch Woman at all. To tell the truth, the offer is so overwhelming that we didn't really see the added value that we would be able to bring. And finally, we gave in to the insistent demand of friends and loyal customers :), also because we realized that there was no real eco-responsible offer in the premium women's swimwear segment.

What is your proposal for this first capsule collection ?

We thought a lot about this first collection because we wanted it to be like Apnée: eco-responsible, refined, high quality materials. We have chosen high quality materials made in Italy, in recycled polyamide and elastane. The jerseys are fully lined which is rare enough to be highlighted. The cuts have been designed to be elegant and sexy at the same time, while remaining comfortable for movement (a real challenge!). No dark colors for this first collection, but pretty prints to mix and match, and pretty eco-designed beachwear pieces for hanging out chic by the water this summer.

Are your swimsuits recycled like men's swim shorts?

Yes quite. It was a prerequisite for us. The swimsuits are made from 75% recycled polyamide and 25% elastane for comfort and support. The fabrics come from Italy and production is done in Portugal in an Oeko Tex certified factory.

Why did you launch beachwear pieces in the first year?

Apnée is above all a style :) For us, it made sense to offer beach silhouettes, and not just swimsuits. We offer pretty evanescent dresses in organic cotton voile, to wear day or evening, and wide pants in light cotton. Women can also borrow linen shirts and printed shirts from the men's locker room, we love it!

What are you planning for next year?

We are impatiently awaiting the return of our customers, but have already finalized the Spring Summer 2023 collection . New colors and prints await you, and other surprises.
