Apnée was born in 2017 with a clear mission: to breathe new life into men's swimwear by using plastic waste recovered from the oceans to create durable and stylish pieces. Our first collection quickly took shape, symbolizing our commitment to more responsible fashion.
Apnée has developed by keeping our values at the heart of our approach: unique designs, high-end quality , and respect for the environment. All our products are designed in the north of Portugal, a region recognized for its expertise and know-how , in specialized factories meeting Oeko-Tex® human-ecological standards.
Design and excellence:
We have chosen to use recycled polyester to make our swim shorts . Thus, we have partnered with the Seaqual organization which collects, sorts, cleans and reconditions plastic waste into recycled polyester fiber.
Apnée, it's graphic prints , perfect cuts, and little details like the zipped pocket and the waterproof pouch, which make all the difference.
Today we offer two cuts of men's swimsuits : swim shorts with an elastic waistband and swim shorts with a flat waistband .

All the cuts of our swimsuits have been designed to fit well, without being too tight or too loose , thus guaranteeing an optimal fit for each body shape. To help our customers find the perfect swimsuit , we offer a detailed size guide on our website. This guide is designed to make it easier to choose the most suitable model for each body shape, ensuring comfort and style at the same time.
Each model is equipped with an internal mesh , two invisible side pockets and a rear zipped pocket to combine functionality and aesthetics.
The Milo cut , with its elastic waistband, offers a comfortable fit, ideal for any water activity. This classic cut is versatile and will suit the majority of men , whether swimming, surfing or simply relaxing by the water.
The Enzo cut , inspired by the famous diver Enzo Maiorca, gives a more refined and modern look. With its flat belt and a length stopping just above the knee, it presents an elegant urban style and great versatility. It's the ideal fit for those looking for a swimsuit that can effortlessly transition from the beach to a stroll around town. The adjustable size thanks to the two side buckles with buttons allows you to personalize the fit for optimal comfort .
It is important to note that our swimsuits do not run large. If you are hesitating between two sizes, we recommend that you opt for the larger size to ensure better comfort.

Conversely, polyester is emerging as a durable, albeit less flexible, alternative . Its resilience against chlorine sets it apart, extending the life of your swimsuit .
At Apnée , we combine sustainability and ethics by favoring recycled polyester, resulting from the reprocessing of 10 plastic bottles . This means that your Apnea suit will not move, dive after dive.

The choice of material for swim shorts goes beyond durability and strength. At Apnée, we attach great importance to the comfort of our creations. This is why, in addition to using recycled polyester, we have integrated an interior net, also recycled. We ensure optimal comfort without compromising the style or ethics of our jerseys.

Over time, Apnée has established strong relationships with its manufacturers and strengthened its commitment .
The right price
At Apnée, we offer a varied range of quality swimwear at the fairest price. Our plain elastic waistband swimsuits are priced at €115, while the printed models are €135.
For a more sophisticated look, our swimsuits with a flat belt are available in prints at €155, and in a plain version at €145 .
Investing in an Apnea swimsuit means investing in a quality piece that you can keep for many years. It is with this in mind, confident in the quality of our parts, that we guarantee them for 3 years (under normal use).
Printed team or plain team?
The prints:
Apnée draws its inspiration from its passion for the seabed and the Mediterranean. It is therefore quite natural that the majority of our swim shorts are printed and reflect these different themes with refinement.
To print our exclusive designs , we use digital sublimation, a more ecological process which ensures great resistance to salt, sun and chlorine, while maintaining the brilliance and finesse of the designs over time.

You will therefore find a variation of different patterns in colors always very dear to Apnée, on our two cuts: the Reflets Enzo blue and the Mosaïques Enzo purple for the swim shorts with a flat waistband and for the elastic waistband: Abysses , Écume , Reflets and many others including the new Spring/Summer collection which will arrive in March 2024.

Because we still had to offer solid colors for those who are afraid to take the plunge with print, we have a small selection of jerseys to satisfy the latter. Colors that are sober, elegant and unique , which are very specific to Apnée, ranging from duck blue and brick , to more classic shades such as navy blue and khaki.
