Meeting with Andreas Giesen

To mark the launch of our new Spring/Summer 2023 collection , we collaborated with Andreas Giesen , professional ballet dancer, to embody the brand. It was in Cap Corse, surrounded by lush vegetation and a crystal clear sea , very choppy, that Andreas, wore our Parasole swimsuit with style (already sold out unfortunately) accompanied by the 100% linen mattone shirt .

Where does your passion for dance come from?

I must admit that I have always been and still am on the move. This is what makes me alive. As luck would have it (and my mother) it was dancing, but it could have been anything else at first.

What is your relationship with the body?

I consider my body above all as a work tool, a piece of clay that I can sculpt and shape as I wish according to the deadlines and objectives that I set for myself. It's exciting to work with and for your body.

Can you share a dance memory that stood out to you?

My very first moment on stage as a professional dancer. Warsaw, September 2012 for Sleeping Beauty. If I concentrate, I can still relive that moment and feel all the sensations... It was magical, a dream come to life.

What do you like about modeling?

It's a very particular world, but what I love are the experiences I've had, the trips and the people I've had. It is very enriching. It's also just another way to force myself to stay in top shape aesthetically.

How do you choose your clothes?

I really tend to favor colors in which I feel good: cream, camel, terracotta, summer colors. And also, I choose comfort, I am constantly molded into tights so the rest of the time I prefer to be comfortable.

Your favorite moment during the shoot?

My favorite moment will remain the Clean Walk on one of the beaches. It was a completely impromptu thing and we all ended up cleaning the beach and basically doing what Apnée does every day.

The ecru linen jacket.
